but most of my friends call me Mo. Originally from Upstate New York, I finished my Bachelors of Science in Graphic Design in 2016 at Drexel University in Philadelphia, and my Master’s of Science in Information Design and Data Visualization from Northeastern in 2023. I’m an avid reader, board game lover, and newly-indoctrinated cross-stitcher.
I happened upon graphic design accidentally. Growing up building steam engines and model rockets with my dad, I always assumed I would be an engineer. Then, In my Junior year of high school, I couldn't fit an english class on the literary inspirations for Voldemort in my schedule (still sad about this, but it was for the best). I ended up taking graphic design on a whim, thinking maybe it would somehow help me with engineering... but I knew by the end of my first class that I wanted to be a graphic designer. Suddenly my love of problem solving and creating things met my love of art.
Fast forward 14 years, and here I am. I studied abroad in Cambodia, adopted two cats, moved to Maine, got married, worked in advertising, higher ed, and financial services, and met some amazing friends and designers along the way.
